Bismillah,
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah...
This post (in the new "Audio Lessons" section of this website) makes available to you a series of talks by the faqir to a small group of dedicated seekers of knowledge in the Northern Virginia area about the book "Tadhkirah al-Sami' wa al-Mutakallim fi Adab al-'Alim wa al-Muta'llim" (The Reminder of the Listener and the Speaker Concerning the Etiquettes of the Scholar and the Learner) by Imam Ibn Jama'ah al-Kanani al-Hamawi al-Shafi'i (d. 733 AH). The text is about 200 pages in length and is divided into five main sections:
- The Merit of Knowledge and of the Scholars, and the Merit of Teaching and Learning
- The Etiquettes of the Scholar with Regards to Himself, and His Concern for His Students and His Lessons
- The Etiquettes of the Seeker of Knowledge
- The Etiquettes Concerning Books (which are the tools of knowledge) and what concerns their correction, recording, carrying, placing, buying or selling, lending, copying, and so on...
- The Etiquettes of Living in Traditional Schools (madaris) for the Advanced or Beginning Student

Bismillah.
Wa alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh . . .
Amin for all the dua's!
Are you looking for the book in Arabic or English (both are available, but I am not sure how good the translation is)?
Where do you live, in the States, or...?
Feel free to email me directly. Use the link on the right that says "About" to find an email link.

Bismillah.
Wa alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh . . .
Dear Sr. Namira:
This is all there is at this point. InshaAllah, maybe we will have another class if people in the area here are interested. Or maybe we could do it as an online audio series? We'll see...
May Allah accept, and may He bless our days and nights and fill them with light... Amin.
Sincerely your brother,
khalil abu asmaa
